Project Description

Design build project and historic home renovation for a 1944 transitional ranch style home in the Woodlea Historic District of central Phoenix. Having outgrown the 2 bedroom/1 bath 1,000 square foot home, the clients reached an inflection point for their family of 4 and pondered the question: should we stay or should we go? After testing the market and realizing how much the neighborhood means to them, they decided to stay and establish deeper roots. This residential architecture project makes a few simple adjustments on the existing interior spaces for a larger kitchen and dining room while also creating a direct view of the backyard upon entering the front door. The addition plans for a master bedroom, master bathroom and living room that opens to a central courtyard and a large covered patio leading to a pool in the rear of the property.
