How much will my project cost?



It depends! To get the most out of this conversation, clients should be prepared to talk about their budget. Design costs are assembled based on scope and complexity. Then construction costs are gathered based on the design.

Design and construction are separate costs but the processes are linked together throughout the project lifecycle. This is a good reason for design-build. Establishing a budget upfront will allow us to discover the possibilities of your project.

How do I know if I need design, construction or both?



A design needs to be in place to build anything. Most projects need design and construction services and E5 Design-Build offers both.

However, if you already have a set of technical build documents and you are looking to get general contractor services, we would love to review your project with you to see if it’s a fit.

Do you charge for bids?



Yes, most of the time. Bidding is part of preconstruction services. Bids are based on a complete set of technical build documents created by E5 Design-Build or someone else.

Quality construction bids with subcontractor input typically take around 24-32 hours depending on project scope and complexity. A control estimate or “CE” is created and the direction of the project is reviewed with the client.

If the project advances with E5, in most situations the preconstruction fee gets applied as a credit toward the project.

How do I know if my project is a good fit?


